NVR502-16B

This NVR is a compact and powerful 16ch video recorder. It supports up to two hard drives and has two LAN ports on the back. This unit does NOT have built-in PoE ports, you must use a PoE switch (sold separately) when powering IP cameras. This NVR supports LPR cameras, POS integration, and fisheye dewarping.

Product Overview

The Uniview NVR502-16B is a 16-channel network video recorder without built-in PoE, designed for systems where your cameras are powered by a separate PoE switch. It records at up to 16MP per camera and supports Ultra 265, H.265 and H.264 compression to keep bandwidth and storage use low.

It has two Gigabit network ports and two SATA bays for surveillance hard drives up to 16 TB each, with RAID 1 mirroring so your footage survives a single drive failure. The HDMI output supports 4K monitors, and the VGA output can drive a second display at the same time.

You can view and play back cameras remotely from the UNV-Link app or a web browser, with up to 128 remote users.

NVR502-16B vs. NVR502-16B-P16 – Do You Need Built-in PoE?

The NVR502-16B and the NVR502-16B-P16 both record 16 cameras at up to 16MP, with two drive bays and RAID 1. The difference is how your cameras get power:

  • PoE ports: none (NVR502-16B) vs. 16, with a 240 W budget (NVR502-16B-P16)
  • Network ports: 2 Gigabit (NVR502-16B) vs. 1 Gigabit (NVR502-16B-P16)
  • Power input: 12 V DC adapter (NVR502-16B) vs. 100–240 V AC (NVR502-16B-P16)
  • Size: 380 × 315 × 53 mm, 1U (NVR502-16B) vs. 380 × 322 × 53 mm, 1U (NVR502-16B-P16)
