Product Overview
The Uniview NVR504-16B-P16 is a 16-channel network video recorder with 16 built-in PoE ports and four hard drive bays, so you can keep footage for longer. It records at up to 16MP per camera and supports Ultra 265, H.265 and H.264 compression to keep bandwidth and storage use low.
Four SATA bays accept surveillance hard drives up to 16 TB each (up to 64 TB in total), with RAID 1 or RAID 5 to protect your footage if a drive fails. The 16 PoE ports share a 150 W power budget (up to 30 W per port, IEEE 802.3af/at).
The HDMI output supports 4K monitors, and the VGA output can drive a second display at the same time. You can view and play back cameras remotely from the UNV-Link app or a web browser, with up to 128 remote users.

NVR504 vs. NVR502 – Which 16-Channel NVR Do You Need?
The NVR504-16B-P16 and the NVR502-16B-P16 both record 16 cameras with 16 built-in PoE ports. The main differences are storage and PoE power:
- Hard drive bays: 4, up to 64 TB total (NVR504) vs. 2, up to 32 TB total (NVR502)
- RAID: RAID 1 and RAID 5 (NVR504) vs. RAID 1 (NVR502)
- PoE budget: 150 W (NVR504) vs. 240 W (NVR502)
- Alarm inputs/outputs: 16/4 (NVR504) vs. 8/2 (NVR502)
- Size: 400 × 368 × 74 mm, 1.5U (NVR504) vs. 380 × 322 × 53 mm, 1U (NVR502)
Choose the NVR504-16B-P16 when you need longer retention or RAID 5 protection across four drives. Choose the NVR502-16B-P16 when your cameras need more PoE power and two drives give you enough recording time.
Need more than 16 cameras? The NVR504-32B-P16 records up to 32. Pair either recorder with our surveillance hard drives.
