Product Overview
The Uniview NVR502-16B-P16 is a 16-channel network video recorder with 16 built-in PoE ports, so each camera connects with a single network cable for both power and video. It records at up to 16MP per camera and supports Ultra 265, H.265 and H.264 compression to keep bandwidth and storage use low.
The 16 PoE ports share a 240 W power budget (up to 30 W per port, IEEE 802.3af/at), enough to power your cameras without a separate PoE switch. Two SATA bays accept surveillance hard drives up to 16 TB each, and the drives can be mirrored with RAID 1 so your footage survives a single drive failure.
The HDMI output supports 4K monitors, and the VGA output can drive a second display at the same time. You can view and play back cameras remotely from the UNV-Link app or a web browser, with up to 128 remote users.

NVR502 vs. NVR504 – Which 16-Channel NVR Do You Need?
The NVR502-16B-P16 and the NVR504-16B-P16 both record 16 cameras with 16 built-in PoE ports. The main differences are storage and PoE power:
- Hard drive bays: 2, up to 32 TB total (NVR502) vs. 4, up to 64 TB total (NVR504)
- RAID: RAID 1 (NVR502) vs. RAID 1 and RAID 5 (NVR504)
- PoE budget: 240 W (NVR502) vs. 150 W (NVR504)
- Alarm inputs/outputs: 8/2 (NVR502) vs. 16/4 (NVR504)
- Size: 380 × 322 × 53 mm, 1U (NVR502) vs. 400 × 368 × 74 mm, 1.5U (NVR504)
Choose the NVR502-16B-P16 when your cameras need more PoE power and two drives give you enough recording time. Choose the NVR504-16B-P16 when you need longer retention or RAID 5 protection across four drives.
Only need 8 cameras? The NVR502-08B-P8 is the 8-channel version, with 8 PoE ports and a 130 W budget. Pair either recorder with our surveillance hard drives.
